Job description

Title: Manager, Accounts

Role Overview : As the Manager of Accounts at OMK Advisors, you serve as a key member of the financial management team, overseeing the accounting and financial reporting functions across the company's diverse business segments, including investment banking, corporate fundraising, and retail loan distribution. Reporting directly to the Founder and Director, you play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of financial operations while providing strategic insights to support business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities: Financial Reporting:

Lead the preparation and analysis of financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and regulatory requirements. Ensure timely and accurate reporting to management and external stakeholders. Budgeting and Forecasting:

Collaborate with business heads to develop annual budgets and forecasts for various business units and projects. Monitor performance against budget and provide variance analysis to identify areas of improvement or concern. Financial Analysis:

Conduct financial analysis and modeling to support strategic decision-making, investment evaluations, and business planning initiatives. Provide insights and recommendations to management based on financial performance metrics and key performance indicators. Tax Compliance:

Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations, including income tax, sales tax, and payroll tax. Coordinate with external tax advisors and auditors to prepare and file tax returns accurately and on time. Internal Controls:

Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and mitigate financial risks. Regularly review and assess internal control procedures to identify opportunities for improvement and efficiency. Cash Management:

Manage cash flow and liquidity requirements to support daily operations, investment activities, and strategic initiatives. Monitor bank accounts, cash balances, and cash flow projections to optimize cash utilization and minimize borrowing costs. Audit Coordination:

Coordinate and facilitate internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with audit requirements and timely resolution of audit findings. Provide support and documentation as needed to auditors during the audit process.

Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CA or equivalent qualification is preferred. Proven experience in accounting and financial management roles, preferably within the financial services industry. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and regulatory requirements. Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting techniques. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills. Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting and analysis. Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work effectively under pressure. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
