- We are seeking a skilled and experienced HVAC Engineer to join our team
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, installing, and maintaining heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems to ensure efficient and comfortable environments within buildings
Responsibilities:
- System Design:Design HVAC systems, considering factors such as load calculations, equipment selection, and energy efficiency
- Collaborate with architects and other engineering disciplines to integrate HVAC systems into building designs
- Installation Oversight:Supervise the installation of HVAC systems, ensuring compliance with design specifications, local codes, and safety standards
- Conduct site visits to assess installation progress and address any issues that may arise
- Equipment Selection:Specify and select HVAC equipment, including air handling units, chillers, boilers, and other components, based on project requirements and efficiency considerations
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies to enhance system performance
- System Testing and Commissioning:Conduct testing and commissioning of HVAC systems to verify functionality and performance
- Collaborate with contractors and commissioning agents to resolve issues and ensure proper operation
- Maintenance and Troubleshooting:Provide ongoing support for HVAC systems, including troubleshooting issues and implementing solutions
- Develop preventive maintenance schedules and procedures to optimize system performance
- Energy Efficiency Optimization:Identify opportunities for improving energy efficiency in HVAC systems
- Recommend and implement measures to reduce energy consumption and operational costs
- Code Compliance:Ensure compliance with local, state, and national building codes and regulations
- Stay informed about industry trends, standards, and best practices
- Documentation:Prepare detailed engineering documentation, including system drawings, specifications, and reports
- Maintain accurate records of system installations, modifications, and maintenance activities
