Overview
As the Engineering Manager, you will oversee product engineering delivery and ensure that engineering procedures are followed. Partnering with our key business stakeholders, you will help create and drive our technology and product roadmaps through your technical expertise and ability to influence decisions. This leadership role is responsible for creating a strong engineering team and positioning them for success. You will be responsible for delivering cloud-hosted SaaS and PaaS based Analytics & AI products.
ROLE
- Be a tech leader to the product development team.
- The right candidate will be involved in deeper technical and functional details to be able to define & track plans.
- Create a strong engineering culture by hiring and retaining engineering talent.
- Advocate for simplification of processes, teams, and architectures.
- Enforce software engineering best practices - Source Control, Code Reviews, Unit Testing, Test Automation, Automated Quality Metrics, CI/CD, etc.
- Exposure to managing high volume Data and Analytics products.
- Oversee engineering staff and ensure that they meet goals and objectives.
- Conduct performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
- Provide training and mentoring as needed.
- Set the platform teams' purpose, vision, and technical direction.
- Create a technology roadmap and architecture to build a robust, secure, and scalable platform.
- Manage technical debt & infrastructure costs of the platform.
QUALIFICATION
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related discipline, or equivalent experience required
- 13+ years of relevant experience in software development with 5+ years of leading high-performance product development teams.
- Experience with Agile software delivery methodology in a fast-paced environment.
- Extensive technical knowledge of engineering and product development.
- Experience working with AWS is preferred.
- Must be well-versed in technology, architecture, and DevOps.
- Exposure to technologies such as ReactJS, NodeJS, and Python will be preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent managerial and supervisory skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Highly motivated and detail-oriented individual with an action mindset
