Job description

The Lead Systems Engineer is part of the overall Test and automation group, working closely with Architects, Engineering Management, DevOps and Test engineers to deliver successful pursuit outcomes and ensure robust solutions

The role requires systems maintenance troubleshooting, hands-on testing and Lab management experience and capabilities to translate architecture and design to deliver solutions

Duties Responsibilities

What you'll do -

Identify, analyze and create detailed records of problems that appear during testing, such as software defects, bugs, functionality issues, and output errors, and work directly with software developers to find solutions and develop retesting procedures.

Track problems, resolutions, and bug fixes throughout testing and create a comprehensive database of defects and successful mitigation techniques.

Communicate clearly and effectively with test personnel, users, developers, and clients to facilitate quick resolution of problems and accurate documentation of successes.

Experience with X-Ray technologies would be an added advantage. Coordinating Onsite repair of sub-modules in Lab with proper fault tags Repairing and testing of various sub-assembly parts of our products. Maintaining records of repaired parts with test results. Maintain records of components procured and predict requirements.

Provide frequent feedback to developers, including recommendations for improvements, evaluation of problems, potential solutions, and discussion of further test requirements.

Design test plans, procedures, scenarios, and scripts to accurately assess new products or software updates according to customer requirements and company policies.

The Individual

What you'll definitely need

Must possess at least a Diploma or Bachelor s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or equivalent.

Prefer to have worked with systems and machines and test software, come from systems hardware and software background.

Should possess at least 7-10 years of work experience as a hands-on software test engineer.

In- house repairing testing of X-RAY scanners and chemical detectors.

Should have practical experience in soldering and DE soldering of SMD components including 100 pins IC.

Should be familiar with various electronic components with their various packages.

Experience in troubleshooting, field repair, or technical support activities centered on Electrical and Mechanical systems and equipment.

Experience in the use of metrology and handheld tools.

Good knowledge of Manual Testing.

Knowledge of Lean and Agile Methodologies.

Ability to work with multiple teams and projects at any given time.

Ability to quickly learn complex systems and technology.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
