Job Overview
The Casino Cashier plays a crucial role in the smooth and efficient operation of a casino. They are responsible for performing cash transactions with accuracy and ensuring the proper handling of funds. The Casino Cashier serves as the main point of contact for guests who need to exchange chips vouchers or tickets for cash. They must provide exceptional customer service while adhering to strict gaming regulations and maintaining the highest level of integrity.
Job Responsibilities
- Process Cash Transactions: Handle cash exchanges and accurately count and verify the funds received from customers including chips tickets and vouchers.
- Maintain Cash Drawer: Safeguard and balance the cash drawer throughout the shift ensuring accuracy in calculations and recording transactions.
- Provide Exceptional Customer Service: Assist guests with cash transactions answer inquiries and address any concerns or issues promptly and courteously.
- Redeem Player Rewards: Facilitate the redemption of player rewards points for cash or other forms of payment.
Job requirements
- High School Diploma or 12th.
- Previous experience in cash handling preferably in a casino or financial institution.
- Knowledge of casino gaming regulations and antimoney laundering protocols is preferred.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain any required licenses or certifications as required by regulatory agencies.
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights weekends and holidays as the casino operates 24/7.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive motions.
- Must pass a thorough background check and may be subject to drug testing.
- Excellent Math Skills: Possess strong mathematical abilities to accurately count and handle cash transactions perform calculations and balance cash drawers.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service possessing excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively assist and interact with guests.
- Attention to Detail: Demonstrate a keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy in cash counting transaction recording and adherence to regulatory guidelines.
- Integrity and Trustworthiness: Maintain a high level of honesty integrity and professionalism while handling large sums of money and working in a secure environment.
- Time Management: Ability to handle multiple transactions simultaneously and work efficiently in a fastpaced environment.
- Computer Literacy: Proficient in using computer systems cash registers and other software applications related to cash handling and accounting tasks.
