Overview

The Lead Quality Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of products through the development, implementation, and management of quality assurance processes. This position is essential in driving continuous improvement initiatives and maintaining compliance with quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of quality assurance strategies and processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish and enforce quality standards and procedures.
  • Conduct quality audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement.
  • Provide guidance and support to quality assurance team members.
  • Develop and maintain quality metrics and reports to drive decision-making.
  • Manage the investigation and resolution of quality issues and non-conformances.
  • Lead and contribute to root cause analysis and corrective action initiatives.
  • Implement and maintain testing tools and technologies to support quality objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement through process optimization and efficiency enhancements.
  • Participate in risk management activities and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Conduct training and workshops on quality principles and best practices.
  • Lead and support quality-related project initiatives.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in quality management.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in quality assurance and testing roles.
  • Proven leadership experience in a quality engineering capacity.
  • Demonstrated expertise in quality management systems and methodologies.
  • Strong knowledge of testing tools and technologies.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent understanding of regulatory requirements and quality standards.
  • Ability to drive process improvement and change management initiatives.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Certifications such as Six Sigma, Lean, or Quality Management are a plus.
  • Experience in the development and implementation of quality metrics and KPIs.
  • Proficiency in risk management and root cause analysis techniques.
  • Ability to mentor and coach quality assurance team members.
  • Thorough understanding of software development lifecycle and agile methodologies.
  • Strong focus on customer satisfaction and product quality.
