This role is with one of our early-stage portfolio companies in Bangalore. We are seeking a hands-on and experienced Machine Learning Engineer with a focus on Search and Recommendation systems. As a key member of the technology department, you will play a crucial role in enhancing and optimizing search and recommendation algorithms to deliver an unparalleled user experience. Role and Resposibilities: Design, develop, and implement state-of-the-art machine learning algorithms for search and recommendation systems tailored to user preferences and behaviors. Data Analysis & Modelling: Analyze large datasets to derive meaningful insights and identify opportunities for improvement in search and recommendation performance. Train, validate, and optimize machine learning models for search and recommendation based on user behavior, preferences, and business goals. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, data scientists, and software engineers, to understand business requirements and translate them into effective machine-learning solutions. Continuously optimize and fine-tune existing algorithms to improve search relevance, recommendation accuracy, and overall system performance. Conduct A/B testing and experimentation to evaluate the effectiveness of new algorithms and features, making data-driven decisions. Implement monitoring systems to track the performance of search and recommendation models in real-time, and proactively address issues to ensure optimal system functionality. Troubleshoot and debug issues related to search functionality and performance Basic Qualifications : Bachelor's, Master’s, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related field. 5+ years of proven experience in developing and deploying machine learning models with a focus on search and recommendation systems. Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, and experience with machine learning libraries Solid understanding of natural language processing (NLP), deep learning, and recommendation algorithms. Experience with computer vision, natural language processing (NLP) or content interpretation techniques Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment Attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality work within deadlines Excellent communication skills and the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Job tags
