Role Description
This is a full-time remote role for a Platform Engineer. The Platform Engineer will be responsible for troubleshooting, software development, infrastructure management, programming, and database maintenance. They will work with cross-functional teams to lead and support the development and maintenance of Qcentro's platform and ensure its scalability and reliability.
Qualifications
Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD):
· Responsibility: Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment.
· Technical skills: Azure DevOps CI/CD, Git, Quality Analysis tools like Sonarqube.
Automation and Orchestration:
· Responsibility: Develop and maintain automation scripts and Configuration as Code templates for deploying and managing applications and tools. Implement and manage configuration management tools for consistent system configuration.
· Technical Skills: Docker, Kubernetes, Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
Platform Security:
· Responsibility: Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with security policies.
· Technical skills: Understanding of security best practices and experience implementing security measures in application deployment.
Monitoring and Performance Optimization:
· Responsibility: Set up monitoring solutions for proactive issue detection and resolution. Analyze system performance and optimize infrastructure for efficiency.
· Technical skills: Prometheus, Grafana, Open Telemetry, Loki, Tempo
Collaboration with Development Teams and Infrastructure Team:
· Responsibilities: Work closely with development teams to understand application requirements and work closely with Infrastructure teams for resource provisioning as per the requirements. Assist in the deployment and troubleshooting of applications.
· Technical knowledge: understanding of the deployment process of applications written in Node JS, NEXT JS, React JS, Java and Python
Incident Response and Troubleshooting:
· Responsibilities: Participate in incident response and resolution, including root cause analysis.
Relevant certification and experience in platform engineering and development would also be beneficial for this role.
