Job description

• This position is part of the Powertrain department, which has the responsibility for Map development, Validation and release management

• This is futuristic technology, and require good understanding on powertrain business and navigational systems
• This person will be focused on managing feature owners, various suppliers and software development team by collaborating with global business units

Role Expectations:

1. Lead supplier management strategy, negotiation and release co-ordination for MAP development life cycle and regional specific updates

2. Good Knowledge of vehicle dynamics functions like longitudinal propulsion, tractive control functions, like Adaptive Cruise Control, cruise control and any drive assistance functions related to powertrain

3. Drive discussion with feature owners and engineering department to gather requirements, finalize the change requests in E3-board meetings, agree on scope with suppliers, perform implementation and roll out of MAPS

4. Project activities management and map integration, Validation Verification and release responsibility

5. Responsible for adhering to the Software Development Process and CVDS process

6. Responsible for overseeing the activities of suppliers with an aim to improve the overall quality and adhering to compliance as per industry standards.

7. Flexible to travel globally based on business need to participate in various supplier discussions, technical and management discussions

Qualifications Qualifications

Qualifications:

1. The candidate should have minimum 8 to 12 years of experience working in powertrain and good understanding on navigational standards

2. The candidate should have sound knowledge of technologies, software and tools used in the domain.

3. Excellent exposure and knowledge towards the project and product development life cycles. Involvement with project acquisition phase and initiation phase will be an added advantage for the position sought.

4. The candidate should possess strong verbal and written communication skills. The candidate should be able to demonstrate his experience in client handling and management.

5. The candidate should have good analytical and inter-personnel skills.

6. Good to have: Project management certification

Additional Skills:

Knowledge of German language

Previous experience of working in German projects cooperation

Good Negotiation skills

Education:

Minimum BE / BTech in Electrical/ Electronics/ Mechanical/Computer Science/ related disciplines
