a) Key Objective / Purpose of the Job:
The key objective of the position is to provision SDH/ MPLS-TP based services on Tata Communication Global Enterprise network. The position will serve as the Technical Authority assisting in deriving implementation guidelines for the Projects. In addition to provisioning new services, the position is also responsible for performing migrations and change managements on the existing customer circuits during critical planned events and downtimes.
b) Major Activities
- Provision MPLS-TP based services on Tata Communication Global Enterprise network.
- The position requires coordinating with various teams for provisioning related issues and resolving the same.
- Supporting 24x7 shift activities with flexibility.
- Provide assistance to team members by way of assisting them in resolving challenging technical problems, sharing knowledge and adhering to quality processes in ensuring objectives are met.
- The above mentioned configuration of services to be done on primarily on all SDH Devices(ECI/Tejas/Huawei/Ciena) and also include MPLS-TP devices (CIENA/HUAWEI), along OTN Configuration.
- Performing migrations and change managements on the existing customer circuits during critical planned events/ downtimes and ensuring the activity completion in stipulated time frames.
- Knowledge of EMS and NMS system for working in node related and service configuration activities. c) Work Experience Should have worked in a service provider's environment where network device configuration, migration would be a Core activity. Familiarity with SDH and MPLS-TP Devices is a must.
