Job Description:
As a fullstack-capable developer on a multi-functional team, you will work on the design and
development of mobile solutions that integrate to multiple systems and products. You
should have a sound understanding of computer science fundamentals and practical
industry experience working up and down the technology stack.
Specifically, we are looking for React Native developers interested in building performant
mobile apps that will be deployed to both Android and iOS devices. You will not only write
great code but also work closely with the teams responsible for all other aspects of the
product life cycle, including Product Management, QA, Support, and Release Management.
The ideal candidate has 5+ years of professional experience working in small multi-discipline
teams and demonstrated proficiency in converting business requirements into clean, stable,
highly-performant React Native code. Preferably, you've shipped multiple apps and
supported both your code and the code of others, proving you know how to create new
features and test, support, troubleshoot and maintain existing functionality. Ideally, you like
fixing bugs just as much as you like coding new features.
Responsibilities:
● Proven track record delivering solid React Native apps on both Android and iOS. Be
prepared to discuss examples in detail (we will ask).
● Solid work ethic, 'can do' attitude and a willingness to continually learn new things.
● Strong ability to troubleshoot and debug both your code and the code of others.
● Good written and verbal communication skills.
● Working experience with Visual Studio Code, XCode and Android Studio.
● Strong awareness of standard security principles and how to apply them to mobile
apps.
● Experience with standard API technologies, including REST, SOAP, and GraphQL.
Requirements:
● Working knowledge of Redux, React Navigation, and Apollo Client (or React Query)
● Experience shipping apps to the Apple App Store and Google Play Store
● Middleware development using Node JS and Express (and Docker)
● Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS)
● Experience with CI/CD, particularly using GitHub Actions
● Native Android development (using Java or Kotlin)
● Native iOS development (using Objective-C or Swift)
● Other mobile development frameworks, such as Flutter, Xamarin, or Ionic
● Experience with automated testing suites, like Jest and Mocha
