Job description
As a Video Editor, you will be responsible for creating and editing engaging and visually appealing videos for various purposes. You will work closely with the creative team to understand project requirements and bring concepts to life through the art of video editing. Your expertise in video editing software and your creative eye will be essential in delivering high-quality videos that meet client expectations.
Responsibilities:
1. Edit raw video footage and assemble it into a cohesive and visually appealing final product.
2. Trim, rearrange, and enhance video clips to ensure smooth transitions and flow.
3. Apply video effects, filters, and color corrections to enhance visual impact.
4. Incorporate audio elements, such as background music, sound effects, and voiceovers, to
enhance the video's storytelling.
5. Collaborate with the creative team to understand project goals, objectives, and target audience.
6. Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in video editing techniques and software.
7. Ensure video projects are delivered within agreed-upon deadlines.
8. Review and provide feedback on video drafts to ensure they meet quality standards and client
requirements.
9. Optimize videos for different platforms and formats, considering aspects like aspect ratios, file sizes, and encoding.
10. Maintain an organized library of video assets and project files for easy access and future
reference.
Requirements:
1. Proven work experience as a Video Editor or similar role.
2. Proficiency in video editing software, such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci
Resolve.
3. Strong knowledge of video editing techniques, visual storytelling, and industry-standard practices.
4. Solid understanding of color grading, audio editing, and motion graphics.
5. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and effectively communicate ideas.
6. Attention to detail and excellent time management skills to meet project deadlines.
7. Creative mindset and the ability to think critically and provide artistic input.
8. Familiarity with various video formats and codecs.
9. A portfolio or demo reel showcasing previous video editing work.
