Job Description About the team: Grab's legal team operates regionally to support the Grab Group's various product verticals.
About The Assignment We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our growing legal team. This role, will report to the Head of IP, Tech-Legal and Legal Operations, and work closely with the broader legal team and business stakeholders at all levels of Grab.
The Core Objectives - Docketing as well as maintaining records and logs in respect of IP matters in the IP Management System (IPMS) including:
- Creating new matters in IPMS and updating all related matter details;
- Assisting with overall docketing tasks as needed (i.e., update status and related communications);
- Storing email correspondence;
- Preparing any filing reports as requested from IPMS.
- Preparing and managing official document requirements for IP filing in various jurisdictions, including liaising with internal stakeholders and external counsel to complete the formalities for IP filing purposes including procuring signatures from inventors or internal stakeholders and coordinating and arranging for notarisation of official documents
- Conducting preliminary searches in respect of proposed source identifiers and IP enforcement matters
- Accumulating and logging evidence of use for IP purposes
- Monitoring IP expenses
Qualifications - At least 4 years experience in trademark prosecution matters. Candidates with experience in assisting with IP enforcement matters and using WebTMS would be preferred.
- Diploma/Degree holder, preferably with intellectual property modules as part of the course.
