Job description

Position: Sr Manager (Retail) for large format Fashion & Lifestyle Store at Thirumala, Trivandrum.

Qualifications Required : Full time bachelor's degree in any discipline. MBA (Marketing/Retail) is preferred.

Experience Required : 6-8 years of experience in managing a large format /mid sized retail stores, preferably an apparel/lifestyle products store. Should have managed teams.

Other skills required: Should be proficient in MS Office and Retail Ops Software. Good English communication and presentation skills, & leadership skills are required. Should be proficient in Tamil or Malayalam.

Job Responsibility: Will be a profit centre head and responsible for managing a 45,000 sq ft lifestyle and apparel retail store, leading a large teams of department managers/ supervisors and salespersons. Specific responsibilities include:

· Managing day-to-day operations of the store and ensure smooth operations and customer service.

· Deliver sales and desired sales mix as per the budget

· Deliver planned Gross Margin % by managing the sales mix & contribution

· Ensure products are displayed as per the category layout and planograms provided

· Ensure that all promotions are properly executed in the store and all promotions have appropriate signages displayed

· Constant follow up with buyers to make products available in the store, especially KVIs and promo items and escalate when they are not available

· Manage and engage people in the store – plan and deploy proper people distribution across various categories and deploy / create rota basis customer flow.

· Manage associates leave and other absenteeism

· Manage store inventory and conduct periodic cycle counts & wall to wall inventories - daily negative corrections & GRNs on time

· Control store shrinkage as per the budgeted norms

· Manage store costs by closely monitoring them on a day to day basis and apply cost reduction measures where ever possible

· Coordinate with HO and implement offers / promotions and marketing plan

· Manage smooth checkout of customers by efficient checkout management during peak hours

· Follow up for stock replenishment of regular and KVIs to ensure better stock availability

· Responding to customer feedbacks (traditional & google reviews) and take corrective actions where ever required

· Responsible for great customer service in the sales floor

· Work closely with second in line managers and develop them as future leaders

· Responsible for creating and delivering training programmes on Retail skills

Salary Range : Rs. 10 to 12 lakhs per annum.

Type of the Organization: A 40-year-old manufacturer and retailer of fashion/ lifestyle/ home and Supermarket categories, which runs large format retail stores in Kerala and Tamil Nadu.

Type of engagement: Full time, permanent, Work-from-office position
