About the Role
The Assistant Manager supports the Manager in various aspects of overseeing and executing the process. They assist with scheduling, resolving operational issues, and may also be responsible for managing specific projects. This could involve budget management and representing the Manager in meetings with clients and suppliers. Staying informed about industry developments and best practices related to transformational management is crucial for Assistant Managers. Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills are essential, along with technical knowledge.
Responsibilities
- Monthly management accounting/involvement in month end processes for the entities within EU region (UK/Germany/Italy)
- Preparation of monthly VAT returns, annual financial statements & Corporate Income tax return for German company
- Monthly Intercompany and balance sheet reconciliations;
- Revenue category classification and recognition;
- Accruals, prepayments and deferred revenue processes;
- Project accounting / financial analysis;
- Business reviews with senior business stakeholders;
- Ad hoc projects.
- Manage key stakeholders by sector/practice area to ensure expectations are met/exceeded, timelines are heeded
- Develop excellent quality content
- Work with a global team of experts to create a powerful customer experience
Required Competencies
We're looking for candidates who -
- CA/ ICWA with management accounting exposure for European entities (UK/Germany/France);
- Strong Excel and financial systems experience, with the ability to manipulate and interpret key financial data;
- Fluency in written and spoken English;
- Knowledge of NetSuite ERP cloud accounting software will be an asset;
- A proactive and autonomous working practice;
- Good analytical and communication skills;
- Timeliness and accuracy;
- Motivated and committed
- Are Well-organized and detail-oriented
- Take ownership to work independently with remote supervision
- Can multi-task and meet tight deadlines
