Job description

ResponsibiliÆŸes:

1. Act as the primary point of contact and subject matter expert for technology
management and selection within the Project Development and Engineering.
2. Conduct comprehensive assessments of Plants technology infrastructure, operations, and
business objectives to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop technology strategies and roadmaps
aligned with mining and processing operations.
4. Evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends and provide strategic
recommendations on technology adoption to enhance operational efficiency, safety, and
sustainability.
5. Lead technology selection processes, including requirements gathering, vendor
evaluation, and solution analysis, to identify the most suitable technology solutions for
specific needs.
6. Provide expertise in evaluating the feasibility and potential risks associated with
technology implementation, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and
standards.
7. Advise on best practices for technology integration, data management, cybersecurity,
and digital transformation initiatives.
8. Develop business cases, cost-benefit analyses, and ROI assessments to support
technology investment decisions.
9. Conduct workshops, training sessions, and presentations to educate internal teams on
technology management and selection processes within the mining and processing
industry.
10. Stay updated on industry developments, market trends, and advancements in
technology relevant to the mining and processing sector.
11. Foster strong relationships with clients, industry partners, and technology vendors to
stay informed about the latest solutions and innovations.

Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field such as mining engineering, mineral
processing, information technology, or business administration.
2. Extensive experience in technology management and selection within the mining and
processing industry, preferably in a consulting or operational capacity.
3. Deep understanding of mining and processing operations, technology requirements, and
challenges specific to the industry.
4. Strong knowledge of emerging technologies, such as automation, remote monitoring,
artificial intelligence, data analytics, and IoT, applicable to mining and processing.
5. Familiarity with industry-specific software, equipment, and systems used in mining and
processing operations.
6. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to assess
complex technology challenges and propose effective solutions.
7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey
technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
8. Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and industry partners.
9. Project management experience and familiarity with project management
methodologies.
10. Professional certifications or memberships in relevant industry associations are highly
desirable.
