Perform calculation and simulation on the charging unit and junction boxes.
To be able to build FEA Models with good mesh quality for NVH and structural analysis.
Virtually verify components/systems from the FEA point of view and suggest design improvements.
Support design teams with technical know-how.
To be proactive in the global network between CAE groups within Vehicle Engineering and Electromobility to share knowledge and method development needs/processes.
To write technical reports and provide results of FEA & Thermal Analysis for input in technical requirements, knowledge management systems, methods guidelines and for technical solutions.
Contribute to Root Cause Analysis (RCA) as a theoretical expert
Participate in FMEA activity
Establish correlation activities to verify the FEA models
Required skills and experience:
Masters in Mechanical Engineering /Automobile Engineering / Production / Industrial Engineering
Strong understanding of Mechanical Engineering fundamentals
Basic understanding of various manufacturing processes, especially regarding plastics, composites, sheet metal, and porous materials
Understanding of Material behaviour and mechanics is a must
Knowledge of testing and validation of components and systems is a plus
Experience in automotive component development (either in industry or as part of the academic thesis) is a plus
Numerical simulations 1D/3D knowledge
Experience in tools like Ansys Workbench, Ansa, Abaqus, LS-Dyna
Knowledge of working with MATLAB Simulink, Python scripting (Good to have) & Machine Learning (Good to have)
Able to take lead on own tasks/ projects and plan independently.
At least 3+ years in simulation including technical requirements within the automotive industry for an OEM or a supplier
