Job description
LEAD DESIGNER ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Control project from start to finish to ensure high-quality, innova;ve, and func;onal design
• Take the 'brief' to iden;fy clients' needs and put together feasibility reports and design
Proposals
• Develop ideas keeping in mind client's needs, building's usage, and environmental impact
• Assist Lead Designers on all their projects and assigned works
• Produce detailed blueprints and make any necessary correc;ons
• Compile project specifica;ons
• Keep within budgets and ;melines
• Ensure that all works are carried out to specific standards, building codes,
guidelines, and regula;ons
• Make on-site visits to check on project status and report on project
• Cooperate and liaise with Construction/Interior professionals
• Follow architectural trends and advancements
• Architects/Designers may be required to provide predesigned figures such as an
environmental impact or feasibility study, cost analysis, and land-use study. Final construc;on plans are created by architects and used by builders as a step-by-step guide on how the look and details of the building will play out, including plumbing, communica;on and hea;ng, electrical, ven;la;on, and structural systems.
• Dealing with escala;ons that might come up during the execu;on
• Make sure that the project is completed within the stipulated time frame
• Outline client design objec;ves.
• Conceptualize and sketch design plans.
• Set a timeline for the comple;on of an interior design project.
• Source materials and products included in plans.
• Create 'mood boards' to sample your design vision.
• U;lize computer applica;ons in the design process.
• Inspect design aUer comple;on to determine whether client goals have been met.
• Develops design concepts and produces contract documents based on client needs.
• Meets with clients to program the project requirements.
• Takes accurate as-built measurements for developing floor plans and eleva;ons.
• Create design concepts and digital presenta;ons with finish selec;ons,
furnishings, and fixtures.
• Presents design concepts and takes detailed notes to address customer requests.
• Creates project budgets and maintains up-to-date documenta;on of all ac;vi;es.
• Manages the coordina;on and logis;cs of product deliveries and installa;on.
• Provides follow-up support with customers.
• Develops and maintains produc;ve and effec;ve rela;onships with customers
