This position is responsible for the Enterprise-wide IT PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) & PPM (Project Portfolio Management) Application support and development activities. The person is expected to provide techno-functional leadership with regard to incident/ticket resolutions, ensuring that organization-wide SLAs are adhered to in the process. The role does require hands-on expertise with regard to working on SAP ABAP. Responsibilities Partner closely with business groups and Varian EAS (Enterprise Application) team to keep the enterprise applications in the PLM & PPM domains running. Work closely with the IT PLM Manager and other IT AMS managers to fulfill defined business goals. Provide expertise in custom developments on SAP and other web platforms. Hands-on experience with current technologies and able to learn future technologies on the job and provide recommendations as needed to meet corporate IT objectives. Work closely with business and IT to provide application support and continuous improvements for applications already in production and used extensively for day-to-day operations. The primary focus will be on the following engineering processes/platforms: SAP DMS (Document Management System), Engineering Change Management on SAP PLM 7.02 platform, the Engineering Control Center (ECTR) based SAP PLM CAD integration with Creo and Solidworks tools, SAP Environment Health & Safety Management (EHSM 5.0), SAP PPM (Project Portfolio Management), etc. Job RequirementsJob tags
