In India, FIND has implemented a Global Fund-supported project, the Joint Effort for Elimination of Tuberculosis (JEET), which is partnering with the private sector in various States in the country to establish linkages to increase notifications, microbiological confirmation of TB infections and facilitate early treatment initiation and adherence support systems for improved treatment completion rates with mechanisms to reduce catastrophic costs to people with TB.

FIND is looking for a short-term communications consultant to support the FIND Senior Manager, Advocacy and Communications in India with completion of key communications deliverables for JEET.

Period of engagement : February – March 2024

Role and responsibilities:

The consultant will work with the FIND Senior Manager, Advocacy and Communications in India to complete the following deliverables:

1. Develop and finalize the JEET end-of-project report.

2. Develop an impact story summarizing the project to include sourcing and obtaining permissions for photos and other graphics as required.

3. Develop six blogs/articles/op-eds that highlight FIND's work on JEET and the impact thereof.

4. Support with content development and curation for JEET social media handles.

5. Any other communications-related deliverables as may be required.

Experience and qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, public relations or relevant field

• Five years' experience working in the field of communications (especially health domain)

Desirable experience:

• Demonstrates knowledge of range of communications activities, media, websites, publications, social media, events, etc.

• Ability to independently work in a high-pressure environment with tight deadlines

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills

• Preference would be given to candidates who have experience of working in public health related communications particularly tuberculosis.

Nature of appointment:

The selected candidate shall be offered initial short-term consultancy contract until 31st March 2024 .
