As the
General Manager, India , you will play a crucial role in overseeing the operations and expansion of DIA's portfolio and business in India. The tasks are split up as follows:
- Strategy and Market Analysis
- Develop and execute long term business strategies aligned with DIA's strategic objectives.
- Conduct market analysis to identify growth opportunities. Recommend entry and expansion strategies into different countries.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of the region's needs vis-à-vis DIA's mission and product offerings. Gather and provide competitive intelligence on industry trends and activities in the region.
- Customer and Stakeholder Engagement
- Map key stakeholders in the region, including existing DIA members, Life Sciences companies, and regulatory agencies.
- Cultivate relationships to facilitate the introduction of DIA's brand, products, and services.
- Identify synergies with other organizations in the region. Recommend partnerships, collaborations, co-sponsorships, and alliances.
- Build strong relationships with clients, customers, and partners.
- Represent DIA at industry events, conferences, and meetings.
- Business Operations
- Identify opportunities for new conferences, training, events, and other convening experiences.
- Coordinate the delivery of these with internal and external resources as appropriate. Utilize best practices to streamline processes and optimize operational efficiency.
- Set performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Oversee budgeting, financial planning, and resource allocation.
- Ensure cost-effective operations and financial sustainability.
- Identify and mitigate risks. Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
To join us, you should have:
- No other employment or have clients that could create a conflict of interest.
- Preference to someone who currently lives in India.
- 10+ years of experience in the Life Sciences or Healthcare industry in the region, preferably in clinical development, regulatory affairs, or medical affairs roles.
- Well-developed network of key industry executives and regulatory agency personnel.
- Ability to travel freely within the region, with occasional international travel.
- Previous experience working in a global Life Sciences company.
