Job description
Ø Specific Skill Requirement: · Review and Approve Supplier data submissions in IMDS related website. · Confirm compliance to the European Union End of Life Vehicle Substance restrictions on Mercury, Lead, Hexavalent Chromium, and Cadmium. · Confirm compliance to the OEM’s material specifications. · Certifying export vehicles to the European Union for ELV requirements by approving online and follow up with rejected MDSs. · Track supplier compliance status to the IMDS and ELV guidelines. · Communicate to suppliers in case of Material Data Sheet rejections via email or meeting and follow up to resolve the issue. · Understanding of GADSL and Application codes used in IMDS system. · · Liaison with Quality Engineers, Assembly Operational Engineers, Suppliers, Design Engineers, etc. to resolve legislative compliance issues. · Support Supplier and Customer Quality Engineers to approve PPAP on time. · Maintain database of all approved/rejected parts using MS Excel. · Good Knowledge on BOM (Bill of Material) Analysis. · Track & analyze future recycling / hazardous material requirements / amendments, Quality Control from Regulatory Bodies. Skill Set Required: Microsoft Office ( Word, Excel, PowerPoint ) IMDS ( International Material Data System ) ELV Directive GADSL REACH – Candidate List, Annex XIV & XVII Conflict Minerals. Attributes needed for the role:- Sound communication skills, Active team player. Basic functional knowledge of Automotive parts. Knowledge of materials standards or specifications if any would be an added advantage Willing to work in shifts and hybrid model if required.
