We are searching for a talented Senior Splunk Engineer to join our team.
Role: Senior Splunk Engineer
Key Responsibilities:
1) Strong Architect and Development Experience in both Splunk Enterprise as well as Splunk
Security use cases/apps
2) Integrating Splunk with a wide variety of data sources and industry leading commercial security
tools that use various protocols.
3) Performing advanced searching and reporting to help customers with
the implementation specialized/custom dashboards.
4) Consulting with customers to perform service decomposition, customize and configure Splunk to
meet the requirements.
5) Communicating with customer stake holders to include leadership, support teams, and system
administrators.
6) Technical writing/creation of formal documentation such as reports, training material, slide decks,
and architecture diagrams.
7) Identify, evaluate, design, implement and optimise Splunk with Splunk policy and goals.
8) Building Glass Tables & Splunk dashboards using Dashboards Studio.
9) Data normalisation and the Splunk CIM
10) Building KPI's, services, entities, Service Analyzers and Deep Dives.
11) Architecting and deploying clustered/distributed Splunk Enterprise implementations to large,
complex customers.
12) Experience with software development, system architecture, and/or databases a plus.
13) Strong experience in Linux/Unix administration and
14) Logging technologies including syslog, Windows Event collectors and agent-based data
acquisition.
15) Proficiency in command-line tools (tail, grep, awk, sed, less) for log monitoring and analysis.
16) Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python).
17) Solid understanding of system and network protocols.
18) Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
19) Good communication and teamwork abilities.
