Primary Responsibilities:
- Design, implement and maintain Java application within all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) Solution Designing and Architecting of application software on Azure platform working with established processes
- Communicate effectively with other Architects, Engineers and QA
- Establish, refine and integrate development and test environment tools and software
- Identify production and non-production application issues
- Identify opportunities to fine-tune and optimize applications of Java developed projects
- Provide technical support and consultation for Java application and infrastructure questions
- Serve as a mentor to less experienced Developers
- Ability to envision the overall solution for defined functional and non-functional requirements; and be able to define technologies, patterns and frameworks to materialize it
- Design and develop the framework of the system and be able to explain choices made
Required Qualifications:
- Java Technical Architect Position with 10+ Years of hands-on technical Experience in the Java related technologies
- 5 years of experience in designing and architecting J2EE Enterprise level applications
- Working Knowledge of executing projects in the Agile Methodologies
- Java, J2EE, JSP, JSF, Angular JS , Front end development experience
- Strong experience in Core Java, Spring, JSF, and Hibernate/Spring
- Well versed in Public/Private Cloud
- Hands on experience on leading a team of engineers responsible for building, maintaining, optimizing or modernizing applications on (or to) Public Cloud, preferably Azure/GCP
- Strong understanding of event driven, elastically scalable, fault tolerant and other cloud native architecture patterns
- Experience in SOA based architecture, Web Services (Apache CXF/JAXWS/JAXRS/SOAP/REST)
- Experience in multiple application and web servers (JBoss/Tomcat/Websphere)
- Experience in continuous integration (Jenkins/Sonar/Nexus/PMD)
- Hands on experience in RDBMS like Oracle, PostgreSQL
- Strong understanding of concepts like Eventual Consistency, CAP and experience in Kafka
- Experience in using profiler tools (JProfiler/JMeter)
- Solid understanding of UML and design patterns
- Solid understanding of Performance tuning
- Well versed in product life cycle from solution architecture to delivery
- Strong understanding across cloud and infrastructure components (server, storage, network, data, and applications) to deliver end to end cloud infrastructure, architectures, and designs
- Knowledge of additional cloud technologies such as GCP, VMware, API Management, and Identity Management
- Knowledge and implementation of enterprise scale cloud security platforms and tooling
- Passionate, persuasive, articulate cloud professional capable of quickly establishing interest and credibility in how to design, deploy and operate cloud-based architectures. Strong written, verbal, and chalk board skills
- Experience in enterprise applications, solutions, and data center infrastructures
