Job description
We are looking for a bright and exceptional Technical Writer with strong communication skills and a flair for writing to join our Information Development (InfoDev) team based in the firm's offices in Hyderabad. The team operates in an agile environment and provides an opportunity to learn the business domain and understand new technologies, processes, software, and tools.
As part of the Information Development (InfoDev) team you will be responsible for developing high-quality, user-centered content for internal users to help them succeed. In this role, you will work closely with development teams, technical operations team, project and product managers in an agile setup to design and author: API reference documentation, developer guides, release notes, concept docs, design documents, and how-to guides. The targeted audience of the documentation includes developers, tech stakeholders, and business unit heads. The technical writers at D.E.Shaw play an important role in bridging the information gap between engineers, developers, and end users. You will develop technical curriculum for engineering teams, develop and document processes, internal tools, and solutions that are part of the current and upcoming systems. You will also design and manage complex documentation sets for new and existing products and be accountable for the quality of your documentation. Additionally, you will edit, clarify, and proofread documents written by others, and coach non - writers on ways to improve their writing skills.
