Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Technical Writer. The Technical Writer will be responsible for creating and maintaining technical documentation, manuals, and other related materials. The Technical Writer will work closely with subject matter experts to ensure accuracy and clarity of content.

This position will be responsible for documenting the software products, services and its releases. A critical part of the role is a desire to understand the product inside and out. To that end, you will work closely with our product development team and become an expert in our product functionality. You will participate in our agile process, including regular stand-ups and sprint reviews. You will learn every feature from the time of its conception through its release and customer deployment.

Qualifications:

You have a passion for making customers successful. You are a gifted writer and communicator and have a penchant for making complex topics accessible and engaging. You constantly scour the web for new and creative ways to communicate product information. You know who is doing it right and emulate them. You are aware of the best practices and want to create some of your own.

Minimum Requirements:

• Experience with a CRM system such as Siebel or Salesforce.
• At least five years of professional experience in technical writing or a related function for a software company.
• Experience creating documentation for developers.
• Experience in topic-based authoring and information typing.
• A portfolio of outstanding documentation samples.
• Strong work ethic, initiative, and drive.
• Interest and ability to work in a fast-paced start-up environment.
• Ability to meet with colleagues in different time zones.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience documenting complex business applications, such as CPQ or order management.
• A solid knowledge of contemporary Web development: HTML, CSS, Javascript, and Web components.
• Experience with Atlassian tools (Jira and Confluence).
• Experience with graphics and multimedia.
• Experience using a structured approach to documentation, such as DocBook or DITA
