Job Title and Description: CGI Compositor The CGI Compositor is responsible for creating a seamless, photorealistic image by blending diverse elements artistically. This role involves integrating CG elements and matte paintings into live action plates, matching color, lighting, and exposure of stock elements to rendered or photographed elements, and using various compositing techniques. And comping full Cg creative shots. Need to have some motion graphic skill set also.
Key Responsibilities :
- Integrate CG elements and match colour to create a creative comp
- Match colour, lighting, and exposure of stock elements to rendered or photographed elements
- Must show motion graphic comp skills for Advertisement.
- Extract mattes from blue/green screen photography
- Develop look of the project
- Organize scripts in a clean and efficient manner
- Present work clearly in dailies and walkthroughs
- Address notes from Leads and Supervisors in a timely fashion
- Transform and warp elements as needed
- Perform 2D/3D camera tracking and stabilization
- Grain and de-grain as necessary
- Manipulate plate speed up/slow down
- Process and integrate matte edge
- QC black levels, grain, colour, and mattes
- Fix paint and perform rotoscoping
- Composite shots of any complexity level
Preferred Software Skills :
- Node-based compositing software experience (Nuke)
- Experience with Keylight, Primatte, or Ultimatte
- Knowledge of projection mapping
- Knowledge of Geo Track
- After effects knowledge is a plus
**Qualifications:**
- 5-7 years of node-based compositing software experience
- Basic understanding of after effects
- Sound aesthetic with good understanding of color, contrast, and lighting design
- Knowledge of film resolution and aspect ratios
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Team player with great attitude
- Dependable and flexible
- Takes direction well
- Exercises close attention to detail
- Ability to work full time remotely and/or in an office environment
- Willingness to work extra hours as per production needs
