Job description

:

We are seeking a skilled GNOC (Global Network Operations Center) Tool Manager to oversee the management, configuration, and optimization of tools used within our Network Operations Center (NOC) environment. As a GNOC Tool Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of our network monitoring, management, and troubleshooting processes by leveraging advanced tools and technologies. You will collaborate with various stakeholders to understand requirements, evaluate tools, implement solutions, and continuously improve toolsets to meet the evolving needs of our organization.

Responsibilities:

  1. Manage and administer tools and platforms used within the GNOC environment, including but not limited to network monitoring tools, ticketing systems, automation platforms, and reporting tools.
  2. Evaluate, select, and implement new tools and technologies to enhance the capabilities of the GNOC and improve operational efficiency.
  3. Configure, customize, and optimize existing tools to meet the specific requirements and workflows of the GNOC team.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Network Engineers, System Administrators, and Security Analysts, to gather requirements and ensure alignment of tooling solutions with business needs.
  5. Develop and maintain documentation, procedures, and best practices related to tool management, configuration, and usage within the GNOC.
  6. Monitor tool performance, reliability, and availability, and proactively address any issues or deficiencies to minimize impact on operations.
  7. Provide training and support to GNOC staff on the use of tools and platforms, and facilitate knowledge sharing and collaboration within the team.
  8. Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to network monitoring, management, and automation tools.
  9. Collaborate with vendors and external partners to evaluate new tools, negotiate contracts, and manage vendor relationships effectively.
  10. Lead tool-related projects, initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts within the GNOC, and contribute to strategic planning and roadmap development.
