Job description
A Sales Support Engineer plays an important role in a company as they are responsible for ensuring that customer requests are met with the highest level of technical accuracy and precision.
They work closely with the sales team and customers to understand project specifications, analyze CAD files, and design preliminary hot runner systems using 3D modeling software and AutoCAD.
Additionally, they provide critical support to the CAE team to optimize hot runner system designs and diagnose and resolve system issues for service engineers.
Job Title Sales Support Engineer Qualifications Post Diploma/Diploma in plastic mold technology or a related field.
Experience Fresher / 1 year of experience in hot runner system design, Mold maintenance, tool room, or a related field.
Knowledge General knowledge of injection mold design, technical drawing, and plastic processing
Experience With 3D Modeling Software(preferred SolidWorks) And AutoCAD. Job Location Key Responsibilities - Preliminary hot runner systems design using 3D modeling software and AutoCAD.
- Read, understand, and analyze customers' requests (CAD file) with identification of critical technical aspects.
- Interact with Sales/Application Engineering to clarify project specifications.
- Ensure completeness of customers' specifications by interacting with Sales/Application engineering if required.
- Conduct CAE simulation studies to optimize hot runner system design. interpreting Mold Flow analysis results including pressure, injection times, opening sequences, and flow rates for each nozzle.

- Verify compliance with HRS standards and evaluate any deviations or process criticalities with the Mold Flow department before finalizing the quote.
- Complete and submit mold flow requests through the technical chart, ensuring the inclusion of minimum required information for analysis.
- Transmit information to the design department via the planning department and Sales Assistant. Verify the designer's accurate interpretation of the conveyed information.
- Provide support to service engineers in diagnosing and resolving hot runner system issues.
- Check the suitability between the economic offer made by the salesman and the technical characteristics of the system.
- Ensure correct offer formulation concerning technical characteristics of system configuration and related notes to sales /customer.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure hot runner system designs meet customer and company requirements.
- Sales Support Engineer should have the ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines, as they are often responsible for managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Manage possible interventions at customers' premises, ensuring the availability of internal resources and customers' availability.
- In cases of high workload, they may be required to provide additional support outside of standard working hours.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in hot runner system design and technology.
- When issues arise or in certain unique situations, it might be necessary to visit the customer's premises for a hot runner system trial in order to solve problems, monitor system performance, determine whether the design is in line with practical outcomes, gather data to determine whether any special considerations were made in the design and whether anything needs to be improved in order to further our understanding and improve the configuration of the system.
