Job description

As the Business Development Professional, you will have a critical role in driving business growth and market penetration within the allocated zone. You will lead a dedicated team of business development professionals, oversee market analysis, client relationships, and partnerships, and ensure the successful execution of our business development strategy in the region.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

Key Responsibility:

1. Strategic Planning: Drive the customer acquisition strategy through consultative selling and by striking new relationships as well as through nurturing existing customer relationships. Responsible for delivering target revenues with an expected level of gross margin.

2. Market Analysis: Continuously assess market trends, opportunities, and competitive dynamics, providing insights to guide decision-making. Continuously scan the market for emerging and current opportunities

Client Relationship Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded. Analyze customer feedback, draw business intelligence, review benefits of core services being offered and ensure high client satisfaction level. Must understand the decision-making process in the client organization and target influencers and decision-makers, build deeper relations with them and interact with them to explain our value proposition.

New Business Development: Build a Win plan and account plan. Identify and engage with potential clients, manage negotiations, and close deals to expand the company's client base in the region. Exponentially grow the topline of the business and ensure profitability by managing the cost of acquisition/ Cost of servicing and overheads.

Strategic Partnerships: Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships and collaborations with relevant industry players to enhance the company's presence and offerings. · Work meticulously with the Solution Design team to customize client requirements and optimize deliverables.

Revenue Growth: Drive revenue growth by identifying upselling and cross-selling opportunities and introducing innovative solutions and services to the market.

Budget Management: Develop and manage the business development budget, ensuring efficient resource allocation and cost control with an expected level of gross margin.

Reporting and Analysis: Regularly monitor and report on key performance metrics, adjusting strategies as necessary to meet goals and objectives. Maintain discipline in updating CRM & Sales pipeline.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR? Candidates from 3PL (Contract Logistics) industry preferred. Bachelor’s Degree / MBA from good institute. However, comfort with data and numbers needs to be high. Proven track record of at least 6-10 years in business development or related roles. Must understand and negotiate a profitable pricing structure and service-level agreement that will increase the company's - share of wallet- in the warehousing and logistics industry. In-depth knowledge of the contract logistics market and trends. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities. Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset. Ability to travel as needed.
