Who You Are:

You are a data analyst with experience in data analysis, designing, developing, & implementing business analytics and insights.

What You'll Do

As a Data Analyst in Component Central Operations group in Cisco, you will gather business requirements for analytics and data from business architects / stakeholders. You will be analyzing the requirements, designing, defining and implementing end-to-end BI solutions that meets the business requirements. This includes data modeling, source to target mapping, designing data ingestion pipeline, transformation and storage. You will also be developing effective and intuitive reports, analytics and actionable insights.

You'll utilize the latest BI technologies/platforms and methodologies for effective logical data modeling, metadata management and database warehouse domains.

Who You'll Work With:

You will closely collaborate with component business D&A team members in India and US. Periodically, you'll work with CCO Business architects/SMEs & Business Stakeholders.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Coordinate with Business Architects and stakeholders to gather detailed business data, reporting and analytics requirements.
• Analyze business requirements and build conceptual models for end-to-end BI Solutions
• Translating business needs into technical specifications.
• Source to target mapping, physical data modeling, engineering data pipeline.
• Leveraging existing and building data marts as needed, create presentation layer views
• Use business intelligence and visualization software (e.g., AWS, PowerBI, Tableau etc ) to empower customers with insights
• Using warehouse data to generate actionable insights / analytics and reports to support business decision-making and business performance monitoring.
• Enforce industry standard and best-known methods for data architecture, data modeling, visualizations, processes and procedures
• Evaluating, troubleshooting and improving existing BI data assets.
• Manage a full life cycle methodology including change management processes and ensuring changes are properly tested and migrated to production
• Contribute to data analysis, design and development of new and ongoing business intelligence (BI) projects.
• Support Database architects and developers to build data warehousing systems for business intelligence, reporting and analytics.
• Create/Maintain Technical Spec Documentation.
• Experience in creating end user training materials for analytics.

Our Minimum requirements for this role:

• A Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.
• 5 to 7 years of experience as a BI Developer.
• 5 years of experience in data warehouse design.
• Strong working knowledge of BI technologies & platforms (SSIS, SQL scripting, Snowflake, PowerBI, Store procedures, etc)
• Knowledge and experience sourcing data from Oracle Cloud is highly preferred.
• Attention to details, Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work in a team & good communication skill.
• Familiar with marketing industry standard methodologies and benchmarking
