Education Qualifications: 1. M.Sc. Physics with specialization in Optics / M.Sc. Optics/Opto-Electronics 2. MTech Optical Engineering/Opto-Electronics 3. PhD in Optics or Optical Engineering Desirable experience: 1. 3+ years’ experience in design and development of Optics for payloads 2. Passionate freshers with relevant project experience will also be considered Job Responsibility: 1. Design, model, analyze, and test optical and electro-optical hardware (Cameras, lens hardware) 2. Perform key opto-mechanical/optical design activities and optimize optical system performance. 3. Able to perform optical system characterization. 4. Develop system and component specifications, modeling, and optimization of sensor performances in optical conditions. 5. Provide technical inputs for design of optical payloads. 6. Participate in Optics fabrication, lens design, optical system design, assembly, and testing. 7. Familiarity with CCD and CMOS sensors. 8. Knowledge on thin film coatings, coating process, and surface chemistry 9. Understand performance testing and validation of optical systems and components. 10. Experience with optical payload requirements development, integration, interface definition, verification, and component/subsystem Assembly, Integration and Testing 11. Comprehensive Electro-Optical systems analysis capabilities: SNR, MTF, NIIRS, etc. 12. Good understanding of Optical metrology (Interferometer, Polarimeter, Spectrometer, Ellipsometer) 13. Knowledge in setting up Optics characterization lab Skills 1. Ability to work independently and in collaboration with own team and cross-functional teams. 2. Desirable: Experience in coding in C/C++/Python 3. Desirable: Experience in Optical design software such as Zeemax/Code V etc. 4. Good verbal and written communication skills.Job tags
