Job description
As a Technologist, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and implementing language model solutions, with a specific focus on building new products and proof-of-concept applications. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, bringing innovative ideas to life and staying at the forefront of advancements in natural language processing.
Responsibilities: Lead the ideation, design, and development of new language model-powered products. Work closely with product management to understand market needs and translate them into viable technical solutions. Prototype and iterate on new product concepts, demonstrating a strong sense of creativity and innovation. Proof-of-Concept (POC) Development: Drive the creation of proof-of-concept applications to showcase the feasibility and potential of language model solutions. Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and validate use cases for POCs. Iterate on POCs based on feedback, demonstrating the capabilities and value of language models. Custom Solution Development: Collaborate with clients to understand their unique requirements and design custom language model solutions. Implement robust and scalable chatbots and language understanding applications using OpenAI and other relevant technologies. Ensure the successful delivery of solutions that meet or exceed client expectations. Technical Leadership and Mentorship: Provide technical leadership to the development team, guiding them in best practices and innovative approaches. Mentor junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and exploration. Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in software development, with a focus on language model solutions. Proficient in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++. Extensive experience with OpenAI and other relevant natural language processing libraries/frameworks. Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Proven experience in delivering high-quality solutions on time and within scope. Experience and Expertise: Deep Understanding of Natural Language Processing (NLP) Proven expertise in designing and implementing solutions leveraging NLP techniques for language understanding and generation. Proficiency in AI/ML Frameworks Solid experience with popular AI/ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or other relevant tools for building and training models. Model Fine-tuning and Optimization Demonstrated ability to fine-tune pre-trained language models for specific tasks and optimise their performance in real-world applications. Challenging? Heck yes.
