Position -Head -IT Location_ Mumbai Preferred Industry-Retail
Key responsibilities: Oversee critical IT projects: Lead initiatives related to software development, system upgrades, network infrastructure, and cybersecurity. Ensuring timely and successful project delivery while maintaining the highest standards of quality will be a key aspect of this role. Drive technological innovation: Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost savings, and operational efficiencies. Ensure comprehensive risk management: Maintaining data privacy and security will be a critical aspect of this role. You will implement robust risk assessment and mitigation strategies to protect the organization's digital assets. Asset Procurement and Deployment: Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to understand IT hardware and network requirements. Lead the procurement process for IT assets, including negotiating with vendors and ensuring cost-effectiveness. IT Infrastructure Management: Manage IT assets procurement for showrooms and HO and ensure seamless installation including LED screens and CCTVs. Ensure the availability, performance, and security of network systems, servers, and related infrastructure components. Front-end and backend support both at the stores and the corporate office for upkeeping of networks, servers, databases, and security systems. Asset Inventory and Tracking: Develop and maintain a comprehensive inventory of IT assets, including hardware, software licenses, and peripherals. Implement tracking mechanisms to monitor asset movements, changes, and status. Manage entire asset lifecycle from acquisition to disposal and ensuring IT asset scrap has been sent to recycling vendors. Vendor Management: Evaluate and select IT vendors, negotiate contracts, and manage vendor relationships to ensure quality service delivery and cost-effectiveness. Monitor vendor performance, service level agreements (SLAs), and contracts to ensure compliance and value for money. Budgeting and Cost Management: Prioritize based on new store opening, work within the budgets allocated, ensuring appropriate allocation of resources and cost optimization. Monitor and control IT expenses, track open items and pending POs. IDEAL EXPERIENCE: 10+ years of experience in the IT function with 5+ years in functional leadership roles retail /IT services or allied sector. Experience in working with retail chains with presence across cities Thorough knowledge of information systems, applications and next generation digital technologies Strong project execution abilities. Experience of successfully managing stakeholders on a 360 degree basis, and in a similar matrix environment. Proven record of establishing and executing an IT vision and the ability to drive successful delivery of customer focused IT solutions to time and budget.
