Job Summary

Responsible for monitoring and regulating distributor compliance of USANA's Associate Agreement and Terms and Policies in India. The Ethics Manager will work closely with the Executive Director of Ethics & Education to implement strategic goals. The Ethics Manager will be the Associates' direct point of contact for all compliance matters and will report all issues pertaining to the compliance program back to the Executive Director of Ethics & Education. The Ethics Manager will lead and work closely with the ethics team to perform investigations on reported compliance violations and proactively search for and correct distributor misconduct. The Manager is responsible for actively building and maintaining positive relationships with internal departments and independent distributors in the US.

Duties And Responsibilities

Essential

  • Follow the Standard Operating Procedures to complete investigations by looking into policy and/or procedure violations by distributors.
  • Compile case summaries to be submitted to the Ethics Committee for major policy violations.
  • Review and approve written communications of Ethics Specialists.
  • Liaise with Sales and the management team to understand market trends and needs.
  • Monitor internet websites for illegitimate sales of USANA products, illegal advertising practices, and fraudulent account orders.
  • Recommend to management appropriate fines, penalties, sanctions, holds, or cancellations of distributor accounts based on policy violations.
  • Work closely with Compliance Audit to business audits, and online sales audits.
  • Field phone call inquiries from distributors regarding policy or related questions.
  • Complete ad hoc audit reports using internal business systems (i.e. Micro Strategies, Odyssey, etc.).
  • Implement internal training according to the education plan including Customer Service Representatives and other departments.
  • Implement external training according to the education plan including training at USANA events, webinars, social media, etc.

Additional

  • Set up case files using i-Sight; monitor case files and compile all relevant data and evidence for investigations.
  • Review and approve distributor account transfers, successions, placement, and volume changes.
  • Stay abreast of changing laws in India and provide recommendations for enhancements to the Associate Agreement and Terms and Policies.
  • Prepare communications to distributors regarding policy violation investigations and actions being taken.
  • Understand and adhere to all GMP policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or needed.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, of which 2 years at managerial/supervisory level preferably with MLM sales compliance experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or an equivalent number of years of experience required.
  • Ability to speak, read and write in English and Hindi highly preferred.
  • Legal research and writing experience preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills and ability to problem solve using creative solutions.
  • Strong relationship building skills, both internally and externally.
  • Exhibits strategic thinking and creativity in addressing current and future challenges in alignment with USANA's long-term goals.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills. Must possess the ability to comprehend and interpret the Policies and apply it to a wide variety of situations.
  • Ability to meet deadlines, work independently or in a team, and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to perform all essential position duties and responsibilities efficiently and effectively without supervision and without posing a direct safety threat to others or self.
