Production /Manufacturing Manager

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelors degree in manufacturing Engineer required.
• Prefer prior experience at least 10 year as a Manufacturing Engineer or equivalent technical background in a manufacturing environment.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
• Knowledge in the following areas will be required:
o Mechanical and Electrical design to support manufacturing improvements
o Mechanism Design including Kinematics and Dynamics
o Lean manufacturing processes – time study, flow analysis, standardization of processes, reduction of waste
o Advanced problem solving – PFMEA, 8D, Poka Yoke concepts
o Engineering Graphics (CAD – GD&T)
o Industrial electric systems up to 480V 3 phase circuits
• Knowledge in the following areas is highly suggested:
o Quality Control
o Pneumatics
o Applied thermodynamics / Heat transfer
• Further skills require basic electrical knowledge of safely wiring control systems up to and including programming PLC
systems.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Duties:
Key roles:
• Responsible for Maintenance, Product and Scheduling Engineers, Team Leaders, and Quality
• Cohorts with Purchasing in coordination of materials
• Responsible for maintaining the strategic growth with company's Mission and Vision in mind.
• Manufacturing operation will require to understand the customers need and market dynamic as an important part of
growth strategy of Nexthermal. Please do not put a limitation on deliverables rather approach each Reasonable challenge
as a growth opportunity.
• Train the Supervisors and Team Leaders not to put a limit on themselves and use their talents to create a structured cost
effective continuously improving environment. Leverage each associates talent to create growth throughout all levels of
the manufacturing group by empowering them with clear goals.
• Keep the manufacturing productivity metrics like scrap rate reduction, individual productivity increase (Maintaining group
productivity during times of growth, w/new hires), on-time delivery, daily ₹ manufacturing goal and manufacturing ₹-%
ratio (monthly income statement) Continuously balance the manufacturing to reach the highest potential of individual
employee.
• Please do not reinvent the wheel and always try to build on strength.
• Ask what we did before, or what did we try before than assuming it is not previously done.
• Ask why failed or whether it was successful.
• Ask how to do we do it now.
• Implement a lean approach >
each person to be a part of Continuous Improvement (cost savings, productivity increase)
• Cost matrix is important for the financial stability of the company.
• Implement Kaizen Team – I welcome your initiative and like your approach.
• Think proactively.
• Be an active part of assembly project.
• Work closely with Engineering, Sales, Costing, Purchasing and other groups – management - to reach a balanced,
harmonized, and efficient culture.

How supported:
• Guide and participate team in development of all documentation related to production processes, such as
o Interpretation of product prints to define manufacturing parameters required to produce successfully
o Identification of in line quality inspection procedures needed to confirm product quality
o Ownership of Process flow, PFMEA, control plans, and standard operating procedures
• Working in a teaming environment identify and/or implement defect-reduction activities using tools such as analysis of
First Pass Yield (FPY), Pareto gaps
• Ensures that process changes meet customer requirements. Responsible for using tools such as time study and process
flow tools to document improvements made.
• Guide in the selection of appropriate process controls, defining requirements for data collection, analysis and corrective
action based on product quality requirements.
• Lead team based continuous improvement activities, such as; process improvements, documentation of suggested
improvements, improving non-conforming flow, and separating and recycling non-conforming material.
• Assure product and processes are following ISO and UL guidelines.

Location: Bangalore
Job Purpose:
This role is responsible for the support of manufacturing manager activities in manufacturing. This includes the ability to plan and
execute the practices of manufacturing, maintenance, product and scheduling Team leaders and to integrate the facilities and
systems for producing quality products with the optimum expenditure of capital.
The manufacturing or production managers primary focus is to turn raw material into an updated or new product in the most
effective, efficient & economic way possible.

Physical Demands and Work Environment
• This position requires significant communication throughout the organization. The work is typical of manufacturing environment with some physical effort.
• This position may involve infrequent travel to other manufacturing location in India to support projects.
• Involves standing and walking most of day.
• Must be able to lift up to 25lbs.
