Horizon Role : Software Engineer Horizon Job: DWH/BI Developer Experience : Advanced (5+ Yrs) Unit : Dev and Integration Technical Skills: Main Skill – Mainframe Mandatoryo Mandatory and Hands on experience in Mainframe Programming – COBOL, JCL, DB2, System Utilizes like SORT, FILEAID etc. REXX, SAS scripting toolso Very strong in SQL, PL/SQL and any relational DB – DB2, Teradata or Oracleo Knowledge of Schedulerso Knowledge of basic Unix/Linux and scriptingo Transfer mechanisms – Connect Direct, sFTP, etc Good to have:o Hands on experience on Non Mainframe areaso Linux, Unix & advance scriptingo Teradata, Verticao Bigdata/Cloud knowledge or fundamental conceptso Telecom/Data warehouse domain knowledgeKey responsibilities: Design, develop, modify, debug and/or maintain software code according to functional, non-functional and technical design specifications in Agile/Waterfall Understand High Level Design, Application Interface Design & build Low Level Design as per specifications. Perform application analysis & propose technical solution for application enhancement or resolve production issues Investigate issues by reviewing/debugging code, provides fixes and workarounds, and reviews changes for operability to maintain existing software solutions. Designing and developing high-volume, low-latency applications for mission-critical systems and delivering high-availability and performance Perform Development & Deployment. Should be able to write well designed, testable, efficient Code, Unit Test & Deploy Creationnecessary documentation for all project deliverable phases Handle Production Issues (Tier 2 Support, weekend on-call rotation) to resolve production issues & ensure SLAs are met
