Role Description We are seeking a Shopify Expert Developer to join our team. Ideal candidate has had a lot of experience by solving ecommerce engineering problems and customizing the stores to deliver WoW experiences. The right candidate is an efficient and technically-proficient coder, a clear communicator, documents their work and development changes, is highly-organized, minimizes hard-coded elements so that software can be easily updated, self-motivated, and has experience performing and delivering on time when working in an independent work environment. The ideal candidate will be hands on and a fast learner who keep pace with events, technology advancements and trends in ecommerce space Responsibilities · Translate designs and wireframes into high-quality code · Help formulate an effective, responsive design and turn it into a working theme · Work with the team to establish and guide the website’s architecture · Integrate third-party applications and plugins to enhance store functionality · Build Custom Shopify APP’s · Be adept at performance optimization techniques to improve page load on mobile and desktop for the store · Have working knowledge and expertise on implementing SEO techniques · Have aspiration to conduct client's ecommerce store's audit on the aspects of performance, SEO and UI / UX · Collaborate with designers, developers, project managers and clients to estimate work hours and deliver high-quality projects on time · Mange junior developers and their output quality. Train the team on Shopify platform and web development best practices Skill & Experience · Minimum 5 year of strong experience on Shopify or similar platform · Worked with over 20 to 30+ e-commerce businesses to set up and grow their online stores · Expertise in Shopify Liquid template language · Expert in Shopify APIs and its usage · REST API knowledge · Working knowledge in Custom Shopify APP development · Experience in Shopify Theme development · Proven knowledge with Admin API and Storefront API · Background in Product modelling and configuration via Shopify Admin · Understanding of Product, Discount, Order APIs and customizations using the APIs · Awareness of the Marketing Events, Discounts, Gift Cards and their configurations in Shopify · Experience with Shopify instance management and configuration · Knowledge in data migration and synchronization between Shopify instances · Experience with code version/ branching tools like Git/SVN · Good knowledge in AJAX/JQuery · Usage of theme-kit or similar code push methodology experience · Prior experience with product/Customer/Order import Export management · Solid knowledge of performance Improvement best practices · Front-End (most are required) : React, HTML 5.0, CSS, Javascript. Knowledge of Shopify's liquid language, Shopify Theme development experience, or directly transferable experience from similar languages and an aptitude to quickly learn Liquid. Experience working on a live front-end for a high revenue-grossing e-commerce store strongly recommended. · Back-End: Visual Basic, phpMyAdmin / MySQL, Firebase, JSON with vs-deploy and vs-rest-api. Familiarity with learning and communicating with third-party REST API web services. · Familiarity with Page load speed, A/B Testing, Conversion rate optimization · Implementing SEO/CRO best practices on Shopify websites · Experience in SEO/CRO,, Google Analytics and Data & Pixel tracking · Familiarity with Shopify's API and webhooks · Excellent problem-solving and communication skills · Very good understanding of responsive web design techniques and implementation · Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills · Strong attention to detail and Excellent analytical and problem-solving skillsJob tags
