Overview
The SAP Sales and Distribution (SD) Consultant plays a key role in implementing and supporting the SAP SD module. This role is crucial in ensuring that the organizations sales and distribution processes are aligned with SAP best practices leading to efficient operations and improved customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business users to gather and document requirements
- Configure the SAP SD module to meet business needs
- Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for SAP SD processes and issues
- Participate in endtoend implementation projects from design to postgolive support
- Conduct user training and create documentation for SAP SD processes
- Perform system testing and coordinate with stakeholders for user acceptance testing
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to integrate SAP SD with other modules
- Optimize and enhance existing SAP SD functionalities
- Stay updated on SAP SD best practices and incorporate industry trends
- Participate in presales activities and provide expertise on SAP SD capabilities
- Support the continuous improvement of sales and distribution processes through SAP
- Assist in defining business strategies and solutions leveraging SAP SD
- Assess business impacts and recommend SD system enhancements
- Participate in global rollouts and provide local support for SAP SD
- Ensure compliance with governance and regulatory requirements in SAP SD processes
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology Business Administration or related field
- Proven experience as an SAP SD Consultant or similar role
- Indepth knowledge of SAP SD configuration and customization
- Proficiency in business process analysis and redesign
- Experience with SAP SD integration with other SAP modules such as MM FI/CO
- Strong understanding of sales processes and best practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a global and multicultural environment
- Strong problemsolving and analytical abilities
- Certification in SAP SD is a plus
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Proven experience in project management and implementation methodologies
- Knowledge of industryspecific sales and distribution processes is advantageous
- Experience in guiding and mentoring junior team members
- Understanding of reporting tools and analytics within SAP SD
