BE Mechanical / Production Engineering

Candidate should have 10~12 years of experience in Engineering, should understand different production & quality systems, also should have 3-5 years of experience in tool design in auto or auto ancillary units. Sound technical knowledge in the field of engineering in the bearing industry is a mandatory requirement. Experience in new product launch / MOCR & documentation knowledge in APQP/PFMEA/PPAP/ GD&T. Expertise in Auto cad / SAP/ Excel / presentations tools is desirable. Excellent written, oral, technical, communication and Team management skills. Ability to make solid risk-based decisions that will effectively support the business and company policies.

Responsibilities:

• Central coordinator and owner for all Engineering activities, new product launches and APMs for Bharuch plant
• Responsible for the New product Launch after receiving the APM
• Responsible for the Tool design and green detailing activities for HT and grinds lines for inner, outer and roller including assembly
• Responsible for maintaining the engineering data/ tool list/product drawings
• Coordinator for the tooling & green ring change request as part of Engineering Change note
• Responsible for carrying out APQP and maintaining documents per TS requirements
• Responsible for maintaining and preparing Engineering documents like (pan cards, 10X charts, 20X rib adaptor charts etc.)
• Evaluate NPR and special projects (out-side of NPR)
• Gather/ Study drawings and spec sheets, other plant process, feasibility study at Bharuch Plant – in-house & vendor
• Co-ordination with Finance for costing
• Project plan
• Communication with Global Product management team
• Create , maintain & update Bharuch capability sheet
• Update data in NPR Web site
• Customer Specific Requirement

Accountability

• Responsible for new product launch after receiving NPM
• Central coordinator for NPM.s for Bharuch plant
• Evaluate NPR and special projects (out-side of NPR)

• Responsible for carrying out APQP and maintaining documents per TS requirements

Authority

• Update data in NPR Web site
• Communication with Global Product management team
• Preparing Engineering documents like (pan cards, 10X charts, 20X rib adaptor charts etc.)

End Results and Deliverables

• Timely launch for the new product and keep the management informed about the progress and concerns.
• Timely design for all the tooling items
• Availability of all the updated Engineering documents and tool list to shop floor / end users
• Commercial and manufacturing feasibility for the NPR
