Job description

Key Accountabilities

· HR Experience - Significant experience in HR management, worked in the IT consulting industry. This includes expertise in employee relations, performance management, compensation and benefits, training and development, and HR policies and procedures

· Knowledge of UAE Labor Laws - A thorough understanding of the labor laws and regulations in Dubai, the broader UAE and India is essential for ensuring compliance with legal requirements in all HR practices and processes

· IT Industry Understanding - Familiarity with the IT industry and its unique challenges, including talent acquisition and retention in a competitive market, skills shortages, and evolving technological trends

· Consulting Industry Insight - Understanding the consulting business model, project-based work, client engagements, and the demands it places on HR functions such as resource allocation, skill matching, and project staffing

· Strategic HR Leadership - Ability to develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the business goals of the IT consulting firm, including talent management, succession planning, organizational development, and employee engagement initiatives

· Performance Management - Experience in designing and implementing performance management systems that effectively evaluate employee performance, provide constructive feedback, and support career development and growth

· Cultural Sensitivity - Dubai is a diverse city with a multicultural workforce. So goes with India as well - multiculture diverse workforce. The HR Head should have cultural sensitivity and awareness to effectively manage and engage with employees from different backgrounds

· Cultural Fit and Diversity - Ensuring that HR practices promote diversity, equity, and inclusion within the organization, reflecting the diverse workforce often found in SAP consulting firms operating globally

· Excellent Communication Skills - Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for effectively communicating HR policies, procedures, and initiatives to employees at all levels of the organization

· Change Management Abilities - Given the dynamic nature of the IT consulting industry, the HR Head should be adept at managing change and driving organizational transformation initiatives when necessary

· Problem-Solving Skills - The ability to address complex HR issues and conflicts in a timely and effective manner, while maintaining a positive and constructive work environment

· Compliance and Legal Knowledge - Maintaining compliance with relevant labor laws, regulations, and industry standards governing HR practices, both locally and internationally, especially if the firm operates across multiple jurisdictions

· Leadership and Team Management - Experience in leading and developing an HR team, fostering a culture of collaboration, professionalism, and continuous improvement

· Technology Proficiency - Proficiency in HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) and other relevant HR technologies to streamline HR processes, data management, and reporting

· Employee Relations - Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential for effectively managing employee relations within the SAP consulting firm. This includes addressing employee concerns, resolving conflicts, and fostering a positive and inclusive work environment

· Training and Development - Implementing training and development programs to enhance the skills and competencies of SAP consultants and professionals, ensuring they remain up-to-date with the latest SAP technologies and certifications

· Fluency in English and Arabic - While English is commonly used as the business language in Dubai, proficiency in Arabic can be beneficial for effective communication with local employees and stakeholders.


Education and Experience

Education and Certifications

A bachelor's or master's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Professional certifications such as SHRM-SCP (Society for Human Resource Management - Senior Certified Professional) or SPHR (Senior Professional in Human Resources) or any other relevant/valid specialized certifications in HR for the SAP industry would be advantageous.

Experience

A minimum 12 to 15 years of experience in HR, dynamic, positive, well-spoken and presentable

Additional

Recruitment and Talent Acquisition - Proven track record in sourcing and recruiting top talent, particularly in the IT field, utilizing various channels such as job portals, social media, networking, and campus recruitment

SAP Industry Knowledge - Experience specifically within the SAP industry would be highly beneficial as it provides insight into the unique challenges and requirements of this sector

Technical Understanding of SAP - While not necessarily required to be an expert SAP consultant, a basic understanding of SAP software, modules, and implementation methodologies is advantageous for comprehending the technical skills and capabilities required for various roles within the organization
