Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Inventory Head to join our diamond jewelry manufacturing and retailing company. The Inventory Head will play a pivotal role in overseeing the efficient management of our inventory, ensuring optimal stock levels, accurate tracking, and seamless coordination between manufacturing and retail operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, deep knowledge of inventory management best practices, and a proven track record in the diamond jewelry industry.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Inventory Management:
- Develop and implement inventory control strategies to maintain optimal stock levels and minimize carrying costs.
- Monitor stock movement, track inventory turnover rates, and analyze demand patterns to optimize stock replenishment and avoid shortages.
- Conduct regular inventory audits to reconcile physical stock with system records, identifying discrepancies and implementing corrective measures.
2. Supply Chain Coordination:
- Collaborate with suppliers, manufacturers, and retail teams to ensure timely procurement and delivery of raw materials and finished products.
- Streamline supply chain processes, establish vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and evaluate supplier performance.
- Oversee customs clearance, import/export regulations compliance, and manage logistics for efficient inventory flow.
3. Quality Control:
- Implement and maintain stringent quality control procedures for both raw materials and finished products to uphold brand reputation and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with production teams to establish quality benchmarks and ensure adherence to industry standards and company specifications.
4. Data Analysis and Reporting:
- ยท Utilize inventory management software and analytical tools to generate reports, analyze trends, and identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Prepare regular reports for senior management, highlighting key performance indicators, stock levels, and inventory turnover rates.
5. Team Leadership:
- Lead and mentor a team of inventory analysts and coordinators, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and collaboration.
- Conduct regular training sessions to enhance team skills and knowledge in inventory management best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Proven experience in inventory management within the diamond jewelry manufacturing and retailing industry, with a strong focus on high-value items.
- In-depth knowledge of diamond grading, quality assessment, and industry standards.
- Proficiency in inventory management software, data analysis tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong leadership abilities, with experience in managing and motivating teams.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and quality control.
