As a member of the core team, you would be responsible for collaborating with a group of engineers to empower various businesses. The team handles a substantial amount of data and experiences high traffic daily. Scalability and stability are paramount in this team. You need to be tech-focused to ensure the quality of the products built is top-notch. You will be expected to have a solid understanding of engineering fundamentals and actively contribute to technical discussions. Additionally, you will be responsible for tracking the central tech improvement plans within your project.
As a leader in the Platform team, you will be -
- Facilitating discussions(tech and businesses) and lead decision making on all engineering aspects of his/her team
- Actively working with architects in the team to define the tech quality/improvement charters, tracking them to the closure.
- Leading the platform charter and best practices for your team and the org
- Define and execute the engineering plans for the areas under his/her ownership
- Define, implement and maintain the hygiene of the production systems (both engineering and processes) for the areas under his/her ownership
- Responsible for the health of the tech business directly owned by the team
- Challenging business & product on outcomes, channelize feedback into execution and be accountable for engineering outputs
- Hiring, mentoring, and retaining a best-of-class engineering team
- Responsible for all stakeholder management including but not limited to developers and architects, business, product, operations and clients/vendors
As a leader, you must have -
- Proven skills designing and developing complex solutions including experience in designing and implementing large-scale distributed systems
- Proven track record building and managing high-performing software development teams
- Practical experience and ability to drive design and architecture of multiple subsystems with other senior members in the team
- Tech, MTech, or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical discipline (or equivalent)
- 9+ years of software development experience and 2+ years in leading teams
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information clearly and concisely to a variety of audiences
- Past experience with startups and fast paced environments is an added advantage
