Department Information The EQ Retirement Solutions Client Project Delivery team is responsible for delivering programmes and projects within the EQRS Business change portfolios to meet the Group's strategic growth and development objectives and priorities. The portfolio includes technology migrations, product development, Regulatory changes, Client and Customer data migrations, business acquisitions and system integrations and upgrades.
Role Summary The successful candidate should have excellent communication skills, be an excellent manager of people, highly skilled in critical thinking, with significant experience in large & complex programme/project deliveries.
Preference will be given to candidates who have a firm grounding in UK Financial Services change sector. Experience of having worked in the UK on large transformation programmes is highly desirable.
Role involves close liaison with both client and internal business stakeholders, operational business teams, IT delivery teams and 3rd party suppliers.
Core Duties and Responsibilities: The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
- Managing a project or multiple projects/workstreams throughout the project life-cycle.
- resource management across the change programme including risk assessment and prioritisation of current & future workloads
- Adhering to an agreed Project Management Methodology, ensuring that the appropriate levels of governance are applied to all stages of the programme life cycle.
- Ensuring delivery to agreed business/Client objectives, requirements, schedules, costs and quality objectives
- Identifying and managing risks, issues and dependencies that could threaten delivery timeline, cost or quality
- Proactively identifying countermeasures and recommending and/or taking appropriate action to overcome delays, issues, challenges or cost over-runs
- Chairing internal and joint client project meetings
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, stakeholders, suppliers and clients
- Adherence to all Regulatory, Security and Compliance requirements.
Skills, Capabilities & Attributes The successful candidate will demonstrate the following experience skills and behaviours:
- Demonstrable track record of a successful delivery of a complex project/portfolio of projects – both IT and Business Change.
- Demonstrable delivery of a complex transformational BPO Project would be advantageous.
- Experience of building quality cross function programme delivery teams
- Strong senior stakeholder management skills, confidence to positively influence and challenge, supportively and effectively
- Experience of managing projects using a range of methodologies within an Enterprise organisation.
- Excellent at managing all budgetary aspects of a portfolio, forecasting, reconciliation of actuals and support of invoicing
- Experience of delivery with and managing 3rd party suppliers
- Ability to work calmly and methodically when under pressure
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Solid problem solving and decision-making skills, demonstrable track record of finding consensus with Senior Stakeholder Groups
- Experience gained within financial services or other regulated environments is desirable
- A Programme/ accreditation
