Come join the QuickBooks Workforce Solutions design team as a Design Manager to lead Payroll Tax and Expert experiences. The successful candidate must be both an excellent designer and strong leader since they will manage and mentor a team of designers. Through a keen balance of design strategy, thought leadership, creative direction and people leadership, the Design Leader enables this team to deliver awesome experiences for employers and their employees.
Design is crucial at Intuit and collaborates closely with Product Management and Engineering leaders to provide a strong design voice to guide the customer experience vision and strategy. They also use their deep knowledge of customer behavior to drive design judgment, while leveraging solid analytics and experimentation frameworks to make data-driven decisions.
This person would also work closely with other design leaders focused on designing for small businesses and self-employed around the world to ensure cohesive and excellent experiences across our ecosystem of products.

- 6+ years' experience as an UX Designer
- 2+ years' experience leading and managing a small team
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Product Design, Human-Computer Interaction Design, or other relevant field
- Deep understanding of user interface, interaction, and visual design demonstrated ability to deliver high quality design output
- Strong Design Leadership and Management with excellent influencing skills
- Expertise in conveying ideas and concepts through storyboarding, wireframing, and prototyping
- Strong business acumen and experience in managing multiple stakeholders and senior leadership expectations
- Excellent leadership, communication, project management, and organizational skills
- Proven success working on concept, interface and experiences for innovative large-scale projects, actively collaborating within a cross-functional team
- Mastery of design and prototyping tools (ability to craft rapid experiments and research to deliver experiences)
- Experience designing for and working with design systems and reusable component libraries
- Experience designing for accessibility
- Experience with agile, lean UX and mobile first
- Up-to-the-minute knowledge of design trends in mobile, web, and motion design
- A background in global and/or fintech design (nice to have)
- A well-presented online portfolio demonstrating strong craft and collaborative process
