Hiring for a Production Head for one of the specialized aerospace components manufacturers.

Role details:
- Title / Designation : Production Head
- Reporting to : Vice President – Operations
- Location: Chennai
Role & responsibilities:
- Develop and manage production schedules, ensuring efficient coordination of activities.
- Procure necessary resources and maintain optimal stock levels while adhering to budget constraints.
- Select and maintain equipment, upholding quality standards and overseeing repairs as needed.
- Estimate costs, negotiate budgets, and monitor expenditures to ensure cost-effectiveness.
- Monitor and adjust production processes for optimal efficiency and quality control.
- Facilitate communication between departments, teams, and external stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and timely completion of customer orders.
- Supervise, motivate, and train staff while actively participating in Quality Management System activities.
Candidate requirements:
- 10 to 15 years of hands-on experience in production management, ideally within state-of-the-art facilities and with advanced machinery
- Preferably from an Aerospace background, with experience aligning with the attached roles and responsibilities
- Strong experience in estimating costs, negotiating budgets, and monitoring expenditures to ensure cost-effectiveness.
- Proven ability to effectively manage production schedules, allocate resources, and maintain stock levels while adhering to budgetary constraints.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with a track record of supervising, motivating, and training teams to achieve production goals.
