HSE Engineer Required in Abroad

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: • Develop, review, and implement HSE policy and Integrated Management System. Prepare and implement HSE Plan, Risk Assessment, TRA, JSA & HIRA.
• Review the documents with HSEM and supporting project management and plant operations to prepare risk-based procedures and method statements.
• Prepare the performance tracking registrations and conduct performance analysis as per set KPIs.
• Prepare legal registrations and update the legal certificates.
• Support incident investigation process and maintain incident logs.
• Carry out regular inspections on plants and work sites, making on-the-spot corrections of unsafe actions and conditions and take suitable steps to eliminate all unsafe conditions.
• Support in Training Need Analysis process and prepare the groups for specific training needs in coordination with the team leaders.
• Provide induction training for all the staff upon arrival on site as well as organizing refresher sessions whenever required.
• Conduct plant pre-job safety meetings with all subcontractors before they start on site.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's degree in HSE or a Science discipline from a recognized university
• A current relevant HSE qualification (NEBOSH Diploma/BSC Level 6 or equivalent)
• Graduate level equivalency in Institutes of Occupational Safety and Health (e.g., GradIOSH, ASP etc.)
• Lead Auditor ISO45001/14001/9001
• Qatar driving license is preferred

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
• 5 years of relevant experience in a similar role and industry in GCC
JOB-SPECIFIC SKILLS (GENERIC / TECHNICAL):
• Proficiency in English
• Strong knowledge of Qatar Construction Specifications in relation to the field of work
• Strong knowledge of international HSE standards, codes, and industrial practices
• Strong knowledge of relevant Quality Management Systems
• Excellent Leadership, communication and inter-personal skills
• Strong understanding of the business value chain

Support and implement the developed HSE programs and prepare the HSE procedures and guidelines for different departments. Collect and analyze the HSE performance through the observations collected by Safety Inspectors.
