Your role in the Team IG's public websites are key to the business and see upwards of 2 million hits a week. The middleware team is responsible for the CMS system on which all of IG's websites are built.
Websites owns a range of systems that support the IG websites and are face of marketing for various products and services in IG. We are a close-knit and dedicated team with varying levels of experience, and we can't wait to onboard our newest team member to lead the team!
This Position within the Team: We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced consultant who's used to working with web technologies to join our dynamic websites team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and implementing world-class Digital experience solutions for our clients. You will provide technical leadership and guidance to a team of developers, to ensure that our website is best in class.
You will collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand their requirements and provide innovative solutions using Adobe Experience Manager.
Furthermore, in a fast-paced development environment, you will engage with agile methods, adaptive frameworks, and development strategies to fulfil deadlines and be keen to follow best practices and suggest areas for improvement.
What You'll Do - Oversee the end-to-end implementation of AEM projects, ensuring high-quality delivery, adherence to best coding practices, and on-time project completion.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and internal teams to define the technical architecture and design of AEM solutions, considering scalability, performance, and extensibility.
- Lead the development and customization of AEM components, templates, workflows, and integrations, leveraging your strong technical expertise in Java, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Work closely with clients to understand their business requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and design effective AEM solutions that meet their needs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, SEO, editors, UX designers, and quality assurance professionals, to ensure smooth project execution.
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, technical issues, and defects in AEM implementations and optimise AEM solutions.
- Proactively maintain the highest level of technical expertise by knowing the latest Adobe DX technologies and solutions through internally and externally available learning opportunities.
- Conduct code reviews, and employ strong coding standards for efficiency, readability, and reuse.

What You'll Need For This Role - 10+ years of experience as a client-facing Consultant with strong experience in implementing Content Management Solutions.
- Strong experience as a Lead developer or Consultant in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) implementations or other Content Management systems
- Extensive hands-on experience in Java development, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Experience in integrating Content Management System with other systems, such as CRM, DAM, and eCommerce platforms.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with customer-centricity, and ability to effectively interact with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
- Adobe certifications in AEM or related technologies are highly desirable but not essential.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Strategic ability to define technical direction in the portfolio of products including technical strategies and plans and execution plans.
- Embrace learning new technologies quickly.
