Job description
Role Summary WSP is currently seeking an SQL & SSRS Developer to join our BST Reporting Team. This position will be responsible for the development and maintenance of SQL data and to deliver high quality data into our operational datastore, along with exporting data in various formats for internal and external purposes. Responsibilities will be to assist in the creation and support of dashboards, reports and datasets.
Responsibilities · The role might require to work in UK Shift (12.30 PM IST to 9.30 PM IST) or South America shift (2.30 PM IST to 11.30 PM IST) depending on the need. · Develop reports using Microsoft Reporting Services (SSRS) from data sources including Analysis Services Cubes and relational databases · Development of complex SQL Code (stored procedures, triggers, views and functions) · Modify/Create/maintain and optimize ETL processes using SSIS · Create Data extraction and Import programs using SSIS · Prepare Business Reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends. · Ability to work with many different departments for reporting needs · Maintain, Monitor and support production ETL processes and respond to error and emergency issues · Conduct unit tests and assist in test preparations to ensure data integrity and data quality · Design and implement technical enhancements to Operational Datastore · Document technical requirements (ETL, Mapping, etc.); Key Competencies / Skills / Qualifications · Bachelor’s degree in computer science or computer engineering or equivalent; · 4- years of experience working with MS SSIS, SSRS to design, develop and troubleshoot data integration processes; · Strong development experience with MS SQL, queries, stored procedures; · Strong understanding of relational and dimensional data modeling; · Excellent knowledge and experience with Data Warehouse and Operational Datastore concepts, ETL strategies and best practices; · Strong analytical skills; · Very good knowledge of Microsoft BI stack (SQL, SSIS, SSRS, Power Platform); · Knowledge or experience with Agile methodology and tool (Azure devops); · Good interpersonal and communication skills at the business and technical levels; · Flexibility to work with US clients, shiftsJob tags
