About RangeAero
RangeAero envisions itself among the leaders in the regional unmanned aviation with ultra-low-cost-aircraft globally, by strategically positioning the tech amp; development operations in India- an emerging hub for aerospace component manufacturing. RangeAero is materialising the opportunity for short-haul cargo operations at 4x speed with autonomous microlight helicopters (2-seater equivalent), with capacity of 150 kgs to cover 200 kms. RangeAero is creating the full ecosystem for such pilotless freight aircrafts including the operational tech-framework.

About The Position Design, develop, simulate, fabricate and test the mechanical systems for cargo aircrafts.
What Qualifications You Should Have - Bachelors/Masters in Mechanical Engineering or other comparable degrees.
- Minimum relevant experience of 2 years.
What You'll Be Doing - Participate in the development of products.
- Transfer design concept into design specifications, applying principles of mechanical engineering.
- Specification study and literature survey of the mechanical system and prepare the feasibility report based on existing literature.
- Design the mechanical system by performing design calculations based on the given inputs and assumptions. Verification of the design calculations through structural analysis.
- Optimization of the concept as per the mechanical design, analysisresults and modify the design and preparation of the design report.
- Component and assembly draft drawing creation. Tailor the drawings to meet the manufacturing requirements.
- Preparation of Bill of Materials and establishing the manufacturing methodologies. Communicate with the manufacturer and vendors and realise the hardware.
- Take part in the necessary inward and outward inspection and draft the inspection procedures for the components.
- Involve in the assembly, testing and qualification of the components meeting the required specifications.
- Documentation for design reviews.
- Conduct a quality check of all documents and reports, verifying accuracy of data, information and calculations.
We Are Looking For Someone Who - Is available for a full time (in-office) position and can start immediately or within a month.
- Has proficiency in design using 3D CAD tools.
- Is well versed with mechanical design amp; manufacturing concepts, codes and standards relevant to design engineering.
- Has a good understanding of good engineering practices in design and drawings.
- Has a good understanding of the manufacturing processes.
- Has good analytical skills. Knowledge of programming languages (C, MATLAB, Python) is an added advantage.
